How did Stephen Hendry get his MBE?
I noticed that Stephen Hendry, John Higgins and a few other SNOOKER players have MBE’s. I just wondered how this was so.
Well, at least they did SOMETHING to earn them. Unlike many other recipients of gongs.

Snooker Fans? If John Higgins is ever allowed to play snooker again, will you still watch it?
It will kinda put me off. If i want to watch fixed sports i will just stick to wrestling.
Never liked watching him anyway…always turned him off…miserable,dour man with no imagination.
I was wary of him but a friend told me that Higgins was a good family man.I was uncertain but went along with that description and tried to ignore my feelings.
I thought perhaps I was being unfair.
I would have said the same as the above answer from Mr Flibble but then I took the time to watch the clear video of Higgins.
On the video John Higgins and his Manager,sat down and relaxing with a drink,discussing tax evasion,illegal payment and how they would fix frames for profit.
Higgins was relaxed,spoke about any concerns he had with detail,drank his drink and shook hands with the ‘criminal gang-leaders’.
Higgins returned to Britain and kept his meeting quiet..He should have reported it as he had clearly said things and agreed to comply with this scheme.
I can’t see how he can explain this one away and I imagine he will be banned for life.In his privileged position he was a roll-model for children and was already wildly rich so it seems greed was a temptation that made him forget his honour.
I think he’s more than a bit stupid in the way he presents himself.
This time he was caught and I never want to pay to see him play again.
